The Mentawai Islands
The island chain called the Mentawai Islands consists of around seventy islands and is located a good 150km (93mi) of the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia.
Being just two degrees south of the equator, the area features warm water (26 – 32 Celsius) and tropical weather conditions in every season. As we a re open all year, while most accommodation options and charter boats do not operate during off-season, Jupy’s Surf Camp is always a good idea, whether you’re planning a tropical surf-trip in summer or just want to escape frigid temperatures back home for a while in winter.

Pulau Masokut (Nyang Nyang)
Pulau Masokut (Nyang Nyang Area), where Jupy’s Surf Camp is located, lies in the northern Part of the island chain, just south of the big island Siberut, where the ferries from Padang (Mainland Sumatra) arrive.
The island is rather small, people say it is possible to walk around it in 11 hours.
What is probably more important to you is that all waves are within a one hour walk from out place, with Pitstop and Ebay being 15min away and Bengbengs in our front yard.
